The Typewriter is an independent submission based poetry blog based in Auckland, New Zealand. We hope to help fill a gap we spotted for an independent, discerning poetry blog to be a voice for the emerging talent which exists within the New Zealand poetry scene.
Volume iii features poems from Desh Balasubramaniam, Jack Bradshaw, David Gregory, Holly Larsen, Peter Le Baige, Chris Parsons, Vaughan Rapatahana and Matthew Wright.
This volume features two new exciting features aimed at providing our emerging poets with the exposure that they deserve.
Firstly Volume iii contains an editorial aimed at opening the discussion of New Zealand poetry and poetics, in particular the elusive question ‘who is a poet’ in contemporary Aotearoa?
In addition to this Volume iii contains a full bodied biographical blurb page for our poets. We hope you delight in both new features to The Typewriter, and relish browsing and reading the rousing new poetry that fills our pages. Enjoy!
