The Typewriter is an independent submission based poetry blog based in Auckland, New Zealand. We hope to help fill a gap we spotted for an independent, discerning poetry blog to be a voice for the emerging talent which exists within the New Zealand, Australian & Asia-Pacific poetry scene.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR THE TYPEWRITER VOLUME IV

The Editors of The Typewriter are pleased to announce the call for submissions for a new issue of The Typewriter. We will be reading poetry submissions over the months of May, June and July, so dust off your pencils and send in that poem lurking in your desk drawer!

There are a couple of changes to The Typewriter webzine, so listen closely.
The Typewriter has previously dedicated its pages to emerging New Zealand poets; however, we would love to extend our criteria to encompass early-mid career Australian and Asia-Pacific poets, as well as our Kiwi writers.

We are open to all genres and forms of poetry, as long as they are well crafted and your best work! We would encourage submitters to read the previous volumes of The Typewriter before sending in their work, to establish which of their poems suit the webzine.

Submissions are now officially open. Send, send, send us your best work! All poets will be contacted at the beginning of August as to the success of their submission. Send all poems in a single attachment to typewriter.editor@gmail.com

We are looking forward to reading all the talented poets out there!

Cheers, The Typewriter
